CME/CE/MOC CERTIFICATION AND ACCREDITATION
DETAILED ACCREDITATION INFORMATION

All Audio Digest programs are accredited and can be used by physicians to meet CME requirements. In addition, Audio Digest may meet the CE requirements of other healthcare providers including physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and nurse anesthetists.

Certified Diabetes Educators
  • Certified Diabetes Educators may claim up to 2 clock hours of continuing education toward their recertification requirements for each DiabetesInsight activity completed successfully. Note: each activity is individually designated for credit -- some activities may be designated for as little as 0.25 credits and some may be designated for as much as 2.00 credits. The number of clock hours is equivalent to the number of CME/CE credits assigned to an activity.

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs)
  • AudioDigest Anesthesiology Volume 66 – This program has been prior-approved by the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology (AANA) for 48.00 Class A CE credits; Code Number 1044036; Expiration Date 12/31/2026.
  • AudioDigest Anesthesiology Volume 65 – This program has been prior-approved by the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology (AANA) for 48.00 Class A CE credits; Code Number 1042802; Expiration Date 12/31/2025.
  • AudioDigest Anesthesiology Volume 64 – This program has been prior-approved by the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology (AANA) for 48.00 Class A CE credits; Code Number 1041527; Expiration Date 12/31/2024.
  • NOTE: AudioDigest Anesthesiology programs from 2021 (Volume 63) have expired and are not eligible for CE credit.
  • CRNAs must earn a score of 80% to receive credit, and are not permitted to retest due to features of the AudioDigest testing mechanism. A Learner Assessment/Program Evaluation form must be completed and submitted with each passed test before credit is awarded.
  • CRNAs may earn 1 credit per issue in Volume 66 from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2026; Volume 65 from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2025; Volume 64 from January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2024.
  • Lippincott Professional Development is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

The American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) accepts certificates of participation for educational activities designated for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by ACCME or a recognized state medical society. Physicians
MD PHYSICIANS
  • The Lippincott Continuing Medical Education Institute is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

    Audio Digest lecture-activities are individually designated for CME/CE/MOC credit; refer to individual program materials for specifics on credit designation.

 

  • The AAFP has reviewed AudioDigest Family Medicine Volume 71, and deemed it acceptable for AAFP credit. Term of approval is from 01/01/2023 to 12/31/2023. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

    The Enduring Material activity, AudioDigest Family Medicine Volume 70, has been reviewed and is acceptable for credit by the American Academy of Family Physicians. Term of approval begins 01/01/2022. Term of approval is for one year from this date. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

    Refer to each individual issue within AudioDigest Family Medicine Volumes 71 and 70 (and/or check the AAFP website) for information on approval status and the specific number of Prescribed credits for which each activity has been approved. Credit may be claimed for one year from the date of each issue/lecture.

    AAFP members may claim Elective Credit for AudioDigest Family Medicine Volume 70 (specifically, issues with publication dates that are older than 1 year), Volume 69 (all issues), and Volume 68 (only issues with publication dates that are less than 3 years old).

  • The AAFP has reviewed AudioDigest Emergency Medicine Volume 40, and deemed it acceptable for AAFP credit. Term of approval is from 01/01/2023 to 12/31/2023. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

    The Enduring Material activity, AudioDigest Emergency Medicine Volume 39, has been reviewed and is acceptable for credit by the American Academy of Family Physicians. Term of approval begins 01/01/2022. Term of approval is for one year from this date. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

  • Members of the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) are permitted to claim Mainpro+ Self-Learning Certified credits (up to 50 credits per cycle) for successful completion of activities designated for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. This applies to all AudioDigest CME/CE activities.

    CFPC members are able to receive Mainpro+ Self-Learning Certified credits for all AudioDigest Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine activities that provide AAFP Prescribed credit. This is due to a reciprocal agreement between CFPC and AAFP. AudioDigest EM and FM activities are eligible for AAFP Prescribed credit for up to 1 year from the publication date.

    All AudioDigest lecture-activities are eligible for Mainpro+ Non-certified credits. Mainpro+ participants may also earn additional certified credits by completing a Linking Learning exercise.

  • For members of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC), the time spent on an AudioDigest program may be included within MOC Section 2: Self-Learning as a Scanning activity (podcasts, audiotapes, videotapes).

MOC INFO
  • Eligible ACCEL programs and lectures are designated for both CME credit and ABIM MOC points. The number of MOC credits associated with each activity is equivalent to the number of CME credits for which the activity is designated.
    NOTE: MOC credit can be earned via Online Testing only (since only Online Testing provides learner feedback); tests submitted via paper are NOT eligible for MOC credit, and provide CME credit only.
    Participant completion data for eligible ACCEL activities will be reported to the ABIM (via PARS) within 30 days of participation. However, Audio Digest is unable to report MOC points earned without having the physician’s accurate ABIM ID and DOB (mm/dd) on file. Physicians may enter this information into their online Profile or contact Customer Service for assistance. Physicians who provide their ABIM ID and DOB give their permission for Audio Digest to share their completion data with the ACCME.

  • Eligible AudioDigest Anesthesiology activities that comply with the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) MOCA® and MOCA 2.0® requirements for Part 2: Lifelong Learning and Self-Assessment (LLS) are registered by Audio Digest through the ACCME's Program and Activity Reporting System (PARS). Participant completion data (for physicians who have provided Audio Digest with their ABA ID) will be reported to the ABA (via PARS) in a timely manner.

    Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology Program® and MOCA® are registered certification marks of the American Board of Anesthesiology®. MOCA 2.0® is a trademark of the American Board of Anesthesiology®.

  • AudioDigest Emergency Medicine CME activities with accompanying tests can be used for ABEM MOC self-assessment credit.

  • Relevant AudioDigest Gastroenterology CME activities with accompanying tests can be used for ABCRS MOC Part 2 Self-Assessment.

    Audio Digest Gastroenterology CME activities may be used for ABCRS MOC Part 2 S-A credit only if that content is relevant to the practice of colon and rectal surgery.

  • Relevant AudioDigest General Surgery CME activities with accompanying tests can be used for ABS and/or ABCRS MOC Part 2 Self-Assessment credit.

    AudioDigest General Surgery CME activities may be used for ABS MOC Part 2 S-A credit only if that content is relevant to the practice of general surgery. For ABCRS MOC Part 2 S-A credit, content must be relevant to the practice of colon and rectal surgery.

  • Eligible AudioDigest Internal Medicine programs and lectures, as well as all lectures from AudioDigest Internal Medicine Board Review - Second Edition, are designated for both CME credit and ABIM MOC points. The number of MOC credits associated with each activity is equivalent to the number of CME credits for which the activity is designated.
    NOTE: MOC credit can be earned via Online Testing only (since only Online Testing provides learner feedback); tests submitted via paper are NOT eligible for MOC credit, and provide CME credit only.

    Participant completion data for eligible AudioDigest Internal Medicine activities will be reported to the ABIM (via PARS) within 30 days of participation. However, Audio Digest is unable to report MOC points earned without having the physician’s accurate ABIM ID and DOB (mm/dd) on file. Physicians may enter this information into their online Profile or contact Customer Service for assistance. Physicians who provide their ABIM ID and DOB give their permission for Audio Digest to share their completion data with the ACCME.
  • AudioDigest Otolaryngology programs and lectures, beginning with Volume 53, Issue 09 (pub date: May 7, 2020), are designated for both CME credit and American Board of Otolaryngology--Head and Neck Surgery (ABOHNS) Continuing Certification Self-Assessment credit. The number of MOC credits associated with each activity is equivalent to the number of CME credits for which the activity is designated.
    NOTE: MOC credit can be earned via Online Testing only (since only Online Testing provides learner feedback); tests submitted via paper are NOT eligible for MOC credit, and provide CME credit only.

    Participant completion data for eligible AudioDigest Otolaryngology activities will be reported to the ABOHNS (via PARS) within 30 days of participation. However, Audio Digest is unable to report MOC points earned without having the physician's accurate ABOHNS ID and DOB (mm/dd) on file. Physicians may enter this information into their online profile or contact customer service for assistance. Physicians who provide their ABOHNS ID and DOB give their permission for Audio Digest to share their completion data with the ACCME. Audio Digest will submit learner completion information in PARS for the current and immediate-past reporting years for records which were not originally submitted due to technical error, mismatching or missing information, etc.

  • AudioDigest Pediatrics programs and lectures, beginning with Volume 66, Issue 17 (pub date: May 7, 2020), are designated for both CME credit and American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) MOC points (Lifelong Learning & Self-Assessment credit). The number of MOC points associated with each activity is equivalent to the number of CME credits for which the activity is designated.
    NOTE: MOC credit can be earned via Online Testing only (since only Online Testing provides learner feedback); tests submitted via paper are NOT eligible for MOC credit, and provide CME credit only.

    Participant completion data for eligible AudioDigest Pediatrics activities will be reported to the ABP (via PARS) within 30 days of participation. However, Audio Digest is unable to report MOC points earned without having the physician's accurate ABP ID on file. Physicians may enter this information into their online profile or contact customer service for assistance. Physicians who provide their ABP ID give their permission for Audio Digest to share their completion data with the ACCME. DO PHYSICIANS

Doctors of Osteopathy (DOs) may claim credit for Audio Digest enduring materials for AOA Category 2-B. This AOA category permits DOs to claim CME credit for enduring materials that are designated for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ or for AAFP CME credit. Each DO should check with the AOA for the actual number of credits allowed.

  • Registered Dietitians or Dietetic Technicians, Registered may claim up to 2 CPEUs (toward the self-study component of maintenance of registration requirements) for each DiabetesInsight activity completed successfully. The Comission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by the ACCME. Note: each activity is individually designated for credit -- some activities may be designated for as little as 0.25 credits and some may be designated for as much as 2.00 credits. The number of CPEUs is equivalent to the number of CME/CE credits assigned to an activity.

  • Registered Nurses (RNs) and Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs): Lippincott Professional Development is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

    Audio Digest lecture courses are individually designated for CE contact hours; refer to individual program materials for specifics on credit designation.

    Provider (Lippincott Professional Development) is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CEP 11749.

 

  • Nurse Practitioners: Audio Digest Foundation is accredited by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) as an approved provider of nurse practitioner continuing education, Provider number 030904.

    Audio Digest lecture courses are individually designated for CE contact hours; refer to individual program materials for specifics on credit designation, including information on pharmacology CE contact hours.

    Courses are reviewed to ensure currency and validity at Year 1 and Year 2 after the publication date to allow AANP credit to be extended beyond 1 year.

SUBSCRIBER INSTRUCTIONS
Participants will need a computer or mobile device, as well as an internet connection sufficient for streaming media. The activity is hosted on (website) and via mobile application.

Each subscriber must log onto the website with their individually assigned log-in credentials. The activity is a self-paced presentation with audio only. The audio-module order is as follows:
  1. Pre-test
  2. Recorded Learning Activity
  3. Post-test
  4. Evaluation Assessment
All components of the activity are taken online or via mobile application. The assessment and post-test remain locked until the pre-test and learning module are completed. To receive credit, participants must (1) read the target audience, learning objectives, and disclosure statements, (2) complete the pre-test and educational activity online, and (3) complete the post-test and activity evaluation.

It is estimated that this activity will take approximately 1 hour to complete. To receive 1 credit, learner must receive a minimum score of 80% on the post-test. Only 1 attempt is permitted to reach 80% score.

The certificate of completion is available for download once all requirements have been met. The certificate is stored in learner's transcript section of our LMS and can be re-downloaded on demand at any time once they have completed the activity.
